Am i one of the few long time fans that still love this series?

It seems there is allot of negative opinions floating around on the boards here, to do with the new episodes.
It does feel abit different since it moved to TBS. Some roger bits are abit repetitive with stories revolving around his alter egos. But overall i still laugh just as much as i did during the older seasons.
Who still enjoys it just as much? And for those who don't, what your opinions on whats changed to cause your distaste in its current run?
Tho i found the recent noah ep to be one of the weakest of the series in general, that doesn't really mean much.. Some very early episodes were not winners either for me. Just how a series that runs along time works, occasionally they don't always hit a home run.

Here's one. But, the quality is going downhill. Roger, who is my favorite character is getting less and less screen time and his jokes aren't that funny anymore.

All shows go downhill eventually, but I still love it.

I don't understand the hate for the Noah's Ark episode! Are people just angry that it poked fun at religion or something? I though the humor was extremely sharp. Perhaps you all will change your mind after Part 2 airs.

Remember kids, dressing up like Hitler in school isn't cool!

Probably! Just think of how popular Christianity is. I'm thinking half of the audience is Christian or has some form of Christian religion in them and didn't take kindly to the ridicule, even though these types of shows poke fun at everyone. I am black and I never get so sensitive to the race jokes as was the case at the outset of the show and Roger grooving in a black church. I thoroughly enjoyed the joke. My advice is if you have a thin skin about anything, don't watch.

I personally felt that the jokes about Christianity in the latest episode were not up to the very high standards set by earlier episodes in the series, such as "Rapture's Delight" and "Dope and Faith". Stan assuming the Noah persona just felt predictable and lazy. I did love certain elements of the humor, and they do save the episode to some degree... But I understand why some people might not like the overall product. I did not feel the same sense of inspiration in the writing of this story as I have in other AD scripts from earlier this season. For example, the first time I watched "Roots" I was so bummed that Roger's peronas were boring that I completely missed out on the awesome main story, which makes sense in a weird American Dad-style dream logic way. "Deasong Heavy Industries" does not have that same comfortable-yet-disturbing dream logic feeling to it... Instead, it has more of that TBS "edginess" that most long-time fans of the show never really wanted in the first place.

I disagree about the Noah ep. I felt it was a strong episode and I laughed my butt off the whole way through. I thought the bit with Klaus going overboard, Roger dancing in church, the unexpected plot twist of there really being this flood, etc., etc., etc., to be incredibly hysterical.

I have enjoyed this season the whole way through and really think American Dad has gotten it's groove back. I enjoying it just as much if not more than I did when the program was on Fox. Though I will say that last year's first TBS season was one of thee most worst cases of American Dad I have ever seen. I was literally about to stop watching and episodes remained on my DVR for ages, something that never previously or presently is the case. I am back to watching it as soon as it hits my DVR. But last year was a royal mess.

Long time fan and a fan for life!!!!! I live, breathe, sleep American Dad!!!!!!

I have been watching this show since it started and I am still laughing at the new episodes each week. Some episodes are a hit and some are a miss, but overall, I still love this show.

I'm keeping up through Netflix. How has this show gone downhill? The New York episode with Wheels and the Legman is one of the funniest episodes ever. Yeah, Roger is definitely the best character on this show. I'm only on season 10, but I've read Netflix grouped Season 10 and 11 together...?

I am still a loyal viewer. I have the DVR set for it every Monday. I think overall this TBS season has been better than last. But I think the glory days of the show are long gone. We're lucky to have had it on the air for this long. As much of a let down as the TBS days are, this show is by no means in Family Guy territory. The territory of "why is this show even still on the air?"

The Noah's Ark episodes weren't a problem but the separate episodes were uneven. Part 1 was fun while part 2 had them split up into silly and random situations (like Jeff joining the Navy). I didn't like this past week. Maybe it was the episode or the fact that I don't like basketball or R. Kelly.

FYI- I saw a list of shows renewed and AD is good through 2017.

I've loved this show from the beginning and the move to TBS killed a lot of the funny for some reason. I was hopefully optimistic when it moved there from Fox (glad it wasn't outright cancelled) but for the most part it has been very disappointing and a large step down from Fox episodes. I still record it but I'll watch whenever I get around to it instead of watching it right away. I also usually go into it expecting to be disappointed and am happily surprised and amazed when it's actually funny.

I still LOVE it. The TBS episodes have not been consistently good but still good enough for me. Some episodes have been forgettable but other have been over top.
The Trapped in The Closet bit is one of the funniest things EVER to happen on AD.
I'm watching AD forever!

Definitely different strokes. All the singing bits kill the show for me. I usually FF through them. ESPECIALLY when Steve sings anything.

I've been reading a lot of "it's not the same since they moved to TBS", but I'd bet
most fans wouldn't REALLY tell much of a difference if it were still on Fox. Okay, some
of the recent ones haven't been perfect, but the humor is still rapid fire, and I still
have to see an episode like 3 times to catch all the jokes. "The 300" is about as good
as any American Dad episode can get, and I really liked the 'Noah' 2- parter.
