Thanks for your literate and constructive feedback wildcardgirl!

I enjoyed your use of the word "fugliest".

I forgot to include Warehouse 13 on my list of best Canadian Shows ever.

Aww, how sweet of you to look up a recent post or two of mine. I have huge amounts of not giving a *beep*

'crawl back into my hole' is it? Well, you can just go d** in a fire.

Hi, I'm sorry about the comment. It was a bit of a low blow. I think we may have gotten off on the wrong foot.
I agree, the site looks a little messy. I've got way too much going on. It's loud and kind of confusing. Any suggestions on how I can straighten it up? Thanks for your feedback!

If this is your website I enjoyed the jabs at these shows that were REALLY lame! but you missed "The Trouble With Tracy" which might be the worst of all time (perhaps you are too young to have seen it). However I have to disagree with Corner Gas, it is one of the few shows that I actually enjoyed ,along with "Two and a Half Men". Brilliant writing and deadpan, tongue in cheek acting.

Welcome to the ignore list. Perhaps if your site were funny, or something....

I may not be the smartest, but I know not to try buying drugs from the police department.

Corner Gas is like Northern Exposure? On what realm? NX was a classic fish-out-of-water story about a NY doctor being exiled to Alaska, hating it, than coming to terms with it. Corner Gas is nothing like that. Except for being set in a small community, these shows have nothing in common.

Also, your site looks like **** and completely lacks humour. Reads like it was written by a 12 year old.

Well, Lacey is the fish out of water here, coming from Toronto, the Canadian equivalent of New York, Joel Fleischman's home town, although different circumstances brought Lacey to Dog River. Both small towns are fictitious, and both have "quirky" characters who belie the bumpkin stereotype of rural folk (although NX flirted with cornpone caricature in its first season). In NX, everyone hangs out at the Brick, while in CG everyone hangs out at the Ruby. And when I first started watching CG, for some inexplicable reason I kept calling Hank "Ed" for the longest time. Finally, NX's Shelly Tambo is from Saskatchewan, although Cynthia Geary's accent indicates that Shelly is from that part of Saskatoon that is well-south of the US Mason-Dixon Line.

Otherwise, you're right. NX was a comedy-drama that tackled some big issues (e.g., "Bon Hiver" on death and dying as well as love and memory), while CG was sharp and savvy deadpan humor with substance. Each series pursues its own path, and I wouldn't put them in the same category, but there are similarities. Each is on my list of Top Ten TV Series to Take with Me to a Desert Island (CG is #8; NX is #1). Edited to add: Both series are, to me, anyway, endearing, which I cannot say about a lot of shows, even ones I enjoy quite a lot.

And splitting the difference between the two is Doc Martin.

I had that Chris Stevens quote in your signature line in my signature line a couple of months back. "A-Hunting We Will Go"--the NX episode that got me hooked on the show.
