I was just wondering, how popular are Mcfly in the U.S.A? if popular at all, did this film increase their popularity or not?

Also did anyone google them or listen to any of their stuff after watching the film?

Whilst i only have their very last album (it came free with the newspaper!) i'd recommed the likes of The heart never lies or one for the radio, some of their music is quite good and uplifting :) if you are in the need for good old cheesy pop that is actually quite good.

I'd say they're pretty well known, but I rarely hear much talk about them. The movie was essential in increasing their popularity. I wish they were even more popular over here in the States because maybe the chances of them touring here would be much higher than they currently are. =)

Where I live they aren't really known at all, or at least talked about. I'm a huge fan but none of my friends knew who they were before I brought it up. I've never been able to find their albums in stores, but I have 2 on iTunes. I'm usually more into bands like Blink 182, New Found Glory, Say Anything etc. but I like the uplifting sound of McFly :)

Oh well its nice to know that they aren't completely unknown.

Yeah, i think that too, they are uplifting and lyrically their music is better than some bands out there.

I hope they get more popular in the states!

I think they are pretty popular in the States . Here (in Greece) are also popular. (oh ,yeah)
And i discovered them through the movie so, yeah, the movie definitely increased their popularity.

Wow, they haven't toured in the US? They have even toured Brazil already. And we're all monkeys to the outside world.

They're not that popular, I think mainly because they've had very little promotion in North America. None of their studio albums were released here.

I love 'em, and only heard of them because of a youtube clip where they were mentioned. I rarely find another American who's heard of them.

How long are they in the film for? It is worth watching just for them?
