Who here misses Lindsay as the girl in The Parent Trap?

I think she did alright in this video,
and i was surprised.

But that was in 2006,
we're in 2009.

It seems like lately it's been nothing but bad news about her,
It's unfortunate watching The Parent Trap,
and then looking at her now.

For those who say she doesn't have talent,
she took on that duel role part, and mastered it.
i miss the young Lindsay Lohan, howabout you?

The Parent Trap was released in 1998. Lindsay was 11 at the time. If you watch the Bonus Features on the DVD, everybody raved about Lindsay's performance. Lindsay is even on there saying she wants to be like Jodie Foster, go to college and be a great actress. I just thought 'Where did that sweet innocence go?'.

reply

Exactly i noticed the same thing,
I noticed those exact same words she said while watching those bonus features,
It's just a real shame, it's funny because I'm way younger then her.
I'm 18 actually, i was around 5 years old when that movie came out,
And watching her over the year's it's almost like i'm looking down on her saying
"You've grown up way to fast, the world and myself isn't ready for you to be 25 and throwing away your dreams" and usually people that are younger then someone don't end up saying that.

Let's just hope that after Natasha Richardson passed away,
something inspires her to get back on track.

The fame went to her head. Too much too soon. It's as simple as that. Celebrity culture = corruption haha!

Not only did the fame go to her head, but it went to her parents' heads as well and they stopped parenting her.

All I can say is you people must lead very sheltered lives to have never gone wild in your 20’s. Lindsay is only like 24 years old and everyone is judging her very harshly. My word, if I would have had cameras following me around, in my 20’s, my family would have been devastated to see my drunken party years on national TV and Magazines. I applaud you guys that are telling the truth about your “Total Innocence” but for those of you that are simply being dishonest about your “Innocent” years from your 20’s, shame on you… I know that you all must feel that with fame comes No Privacy but that’s a load of CRAP and you should all try to understand a little more from HER side and how you would feel to not have any life in private. She got famous long before she was even old enough to make an informed decision about how life would be, as a star, or how she would feel about all this fame as an adult, she didn’t make this decision at the age of 20 or 25 like some actors did so, Give her a break, already…...

There's a difference between 'going crazy' in your twenties and getting arrested, going to court, and going to rehab (how many times?) in your twenties.

Not every girl in their twenties acts the way Lohan does, but that's not to say all of them don't because there are many who do make the same mistakes. The fact is, she went off track, for whatever reason (due to pressure from media, her parents, simply because she didn't care, or whatever other reason amongst the numerous others). To say that her behavior is 'normal' for a girl in their twenties is pushing it.

That said, there are many young actors who haven't fallen into the same mistakes growing up. Whether it was because they didn't let it go to their head, their parents didn't let it go to their heads, or they simply didn't crack under the pressure.

One prime example being Shirley Temple. She started at the age of 3, and she grew up to become an ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia. I'm not saying Lindsay Lohan can't pull it together, but how many mugshots of Shirley Temple do you see on the internet these days (or ever for that matter)? Not too many...

I miss her too..

It's just a phase she's goin' through, hopefully pretty soon she'll be over it..

I just hope she can get back on track.. Me and my sister really like her..

If that's the case why isn't it happened to everyone else in Hollywood? That's BS, the paps are ridiculous but they aren't pouring the alcohol down her throat, she is doing that.

The press are so mean they make up stories all the time
They never get rich being honest and they had to pick on poor Lindsay Lohan and a whole host of others, but they are bullies and evil thats how they make their money
I really feel sorry for Lindsay i really do and a whole host of other celebs who the press melt down to pay their stupid bills
The PAPS will never get rich being honest

I feel it may meet with acceptance. She is seemingly going down the wrong road as many have or are.

I think Lindsay has looked a lot better in recent months and I hope thi rehab is helping her. I really do because I like her.

reply

Until she repents, and receives salvation in Christ, she will continue down a road of self-destructiveness.
