Bucharest
the way this movie views Bucharest it's so interesting, different.
i've never seen it through someone else's eyes like this.
quite the interesting take, but romanticized and unrealistic. oh, and cheesy
but they overlook and rewrite history like crazy in this movie, talking about 1000 years ago, built in the 13th century...bucharest was only a little settlement in the mid 1400s. but hey, fiction i guess so we suspend disbelief.
every time i see my city in a movie it's always different and never how it actually is. no one ever captured the essence of this town.
but i'm always fascinated to see the way others find beauty in this particular part of the world.
i cannot even imagine how much filming in the old cellar/ruins must have cost, they charge entry fees nowadays.
anywhoo, nice throwback
but wtf was up with the oriental music? that was just so weird. we're in europe not the middle east here!
