Stop hatin' on Fat Albert
Please judge this movie for what it is- a KIDS movie. As a school teacher I admired the film for expressing values and morals. As a black man, it was good to see blacks and whites cooperating and socializing together. In addition I was glad to see black kids being "the good guys." As a Philadelphian, it was good to see our city look clean (that was more unrealistic than Fat Albert coming to life). Yeah, "Fat Albert" wasn't hilarious but it was charming. Every movie doesn't have to have car chases, sex, or cursing to be a "good" movie. And with that...
