Honestly as much I love the ending to this movie, I'm not sure if I'd personally forgive John if I were Claire. I mean, he LIED to her... he DECEIVED her! I think it would extremely difficult (and I'm a VERY forgiving person, by the way!).

shareThey had a different dynamic and understood each other well. Gloria had already admitted to Jeremy that she lied to him about her virginity because "that's what men wanted to hear" so when the truth comes out that he was just trying to get in her pants she was impressed with the lie rather than offended.
shareYes, you would have-IF you had the true feelings that they had for each other. Both of them knew that everything before only served to lead them to each other. Those feelings were real and they transcend all that came before. If you are hit with that feeling for someone and they share it, nothing else matters. Only the future.......
