The DVD i bought seems to have a problem. It hangs and freezes in the end, so that I can't see the closing titles. (I guess that's not deliberate.) It goes as far as Mads Mikkelsen entering the bus with the little baby, then it's done. When they are sitting on the bus seat, the movie freezes. Tell me, does something happen there in the end, or do we just see them leaving together?

The camera zomms in on the back of Tonnys head that says "respect" while he and the child are sitting in the bus - for the first time in his life he lives up to that tattoo.

Very well put about Tonny. Just found these gems a couple of monthes ago and can't stop watching them.
Pusher II is the only film of the trilogy that has some sort of redemptive quality. There is hope for Tonny and his son(if it is his son, which I doubt btw. Tonny is just to easy of a dude to pin things on). That still doesn't mean that I am not rooting and pulling for Tonny and the nameless baby.
He really was the only main character in the trilogy that I liked and wanted to see good come for him. I mean seriously...Smeden was a total dick and wanted Tonny to make his brother an orphan. Repeating very much the life he had had with his father. I just love the way history keeps repeating itself, over and over again throughout the trilogy. Ordinarily, I would call that weak or un-imaginative writing, but in this case it works to perfection.
