The ending was actually expected and good...

Every one on here is bashing the ending of the movie but I think it was a good ending and one that should've been expected.
We get hints about the ending throughout the movie:-

Firstly About the Orgy:
-----------------------------------------------
1) Remember in Paris, the Perfume Seller told him about the legend of the world's best perfume in Egyptian Tomb. He said the whole world felt like they were in a paradise.

Our main guy actually did almost create this effect. Every one there, at the hanging, forgot about all the world;y problems for sometime.

Also about every one listening to him:
-----------------------------------------------
1) Secondly, in the cave, when he realizes that he has no scent of his own, he takes on a new purpose. He says he would make the whole world know who he is. How? By using the best scent in the world.

2) Third, when they capture him after killing Laura, he has just completed his work. He looks at the people gathering and smiles.

Both of these scenes hint that his new purpose, the best perfume of the world will let him control every one and get out of execution. In fact there was also the scene where he spills a drop of perfume on his hand and angry caretaker becomes polite to him.

I loved this movie. First movie that inspired me to write this much on a board.
