Men: are there some good ones left?

After seeing this movie I just hope I'll find someone like the lawyer and not like the miners. In the beggining of the movie, the lawyers seems like a weak soft man who even has the audacity to turn down a young woman offering him free sex. And yet all those strong miners out there who seem so though. He surely must be an homo.

They say appearances are deceiving. Maybe they are right. Because in the end the miners who seemed so manly in the beggining turned out to be frustrated loosers women beating and rapists basterds (and pobably impotent basterds too, so not that manly when you check it out) while the "homo" turned out to be the real man who had enough of self personality and character to actually tell right from wrong without caring about what other dudes think and to stick with it and defend someone who everyone else thought was a cheap crazy whore and neglecting mother.

Maybe it's too much for my oestrogen-driven brain to understand, but sometimes men look like kids who haven't developed their personality. They just do what others do and some of them look like primitive animals driven by basic insticts: drink, eat, sleep, have sex, fight... like a chimpanzee. It's also curious to notice that those "tough" guys who mistreat women actually need women more than guys with a self personality who are capable of thinking for themselves.

So even though they all seem lost I just hope some there are a few good men left. I hope even harder than if I find that man I will be able to spot him and not be lost with the "manly miners". Because sometimes it's really hard to see through appearances.
