guy from show sells car for 18k, tells story of how the show works!

This guy was a former person on Pimp My Ride who was lucky enough to have his car pimped out by XZibit and the west coast customs crew. He spilled all the beans about how the show works and how sleezy MTV is.
He talked about how he went to the house of one of the producers (XZibit wouldn't actually go to your house). It was for a random MTV audition and he was picked out of five people. You had to live in southern California or something to be on the show. He talked about how MTV forced him to react certain ways, how he chatted with XZibit during time off the camera. As far as the car goes, the work took about 6 month's according to the guy (not in a week like they make it out to be).

He tried to sell the car on ebay but MTV made a contract with him and forced him to take the listing down, afterwards a company that made speakers for the car bought the car off of him for 18K. He said he loved the car but it only took him a day to realize it was still the same *beep* car, as they did absolutely nothing to fix the mechanical problems of the car (which is really stupid) hence why he ended up selling it.
It's a really interesting read, the first article picks the main parts off but if you know how to navigate reddit you can read more from the guy (as well as ask him stuff he seems to be really nice and answers questions about the show).
