Questions That Went UNANSWERED During The Film ANSWERED HERE!

Not exactly but I think we could offer our opinions on different things.

Question 1:

1) The trap door and the ground. In the beginning there is some kind of trap door and a large hole in the ground. Did they just lead to the same place? Or was the trap door actually going to lead somewhere else? I think the group should have tried to open it.

2) Who tried to steal the gun? Some people say that there was someone else in the house. But don't you think risking your life to steal the gun is...VERY risky? I mean what if the cop wasn't asleep. I just don't think the person who was watching them was the person who was trying to take the gun. However I can't rule out the fact that someone else was there. I constantly had a feeling that someone was there.

3) Who hung Al B? He really didn't seem like the type to kill himself. Even if the movie one of the girls mentioned it. And why did he eat then? Why didn't he just hang himself? What's the point of eating then hanging yourself?

4) Was there someone else in the house? During the whole movie the question is constantly posed. "Who did it?" "Not me." "Not me neither." "Well someone here did..." Is it possible that a certain person like the guy that was watching them or mabye someone he hired had them sneak in just to add some conflict? Like the gun problem?

5) What was the banging on the door? At one point they hear noise? Is this another group on the other side of the house making noise or something? I wanted to know what the noise was.

Well, it was the black guy that tried to steal the gun. I was screencapping and got close up for this. :D In it, you can see the green jacket with yellow stripes. He's lying when he says he didn't: all the others have a reason/excuse to not do it. Plus, he was the most antagonisitic at that time period. And I think number five is when the police track down that girl's tag. I assume the house was soundproofed, so no matter, no one could hear them. Good points on the others though. It left quite a few questions.

This is just an assumtion, but I think the French guy who goes nuts at the end was the one who hung Al B, thats why he was insistant on giving him his rations, which included a bottle of wine. It's probably easier to kill someone when they're drunk.

1) The trap door was sealed from above and the hole in the ground that the cop was trying to dig out showed that the brick wall went below ground level. In other words, both dead ends.

2) Al - you can see his sweatsuit. An interesting take would be the priest to try an keep it safer in his hands, but doubtful.

3) Last meal? I'm taking it as he hung himself out of guilt. He talked tough, but had accidentally killed one person, and then another out of rage. Probably not a killer. I don't see Francis being able to fight him long enough to hang him.

4) nah. Especially if Al hung himself, then they are all telling the truth about not doing it!

5) It was such a small noise, hardly someone banging on the door. I would go with another group making noise or someone "winning" and them barely hearing the doors open/close to let the winner out.

I think Frances killed Al B. Even if he didn't, it seems logical that Al B. would eat before killing himself. For starters, he was pretty hungry after all that time with no food. You saw how angry he was when Jay rationed him one potato. Secondly, a hanging suicide involves a bit of planning. He'd have to think about it for a few minutes. And why should he care if there's enough food for the others?

reply

i think the husband should have put some pieces of glass in Al B's food and have him bleed internally.

that would have been good revenge for his wife's death.

i dont really have anything to add. im just going to add my own two sense. just 2nd peoples answers on some of the questions.

1)i agree i think that the trap door and the ground just led to dead ends. i think that they were already there and the watcher (as they call him on wikipedia) just had to seal those ways shut so they wouldnt be able to get out

2 & 4)well i guess somebody already answered this question for sure. although id like to watch it again and freeze frame and see for myself that it is actually the black guy. but if there was no way of finding out for sure well i would have made some guess that somebody tried to steal the gun knowing that most likely they wouldnt be expected and the black guy would. well stealing the gun would be very risky especially since i dont think anybody would sleep very soundly in that place so most likely the cop wouldnt be dead asleep. but if it ment that having the gun could save your life then theres a chance that youd do it. well as for somebody in the house besides the original 9 having done it i dont know. the watcher might have done it in order to create drama but well that would be risking his own life but maybe he thought it would be worth it. did he pay somebody else to do it? maybe. but if you ask me i dont think that he even had to do anything to create drama i think it had already started and was only a matter of time before it boiled over.

3)well i think its pretty obvious that francis hung al b but i guess some people have other opinions on that. if it wasnt him then i think the only other thing that happened is that he killed himself. but why eat before hanging yourself? a last meal maybe?

5)im guessing the banging on the door had to be the other group of people. somebody suggested that maybe it was the cops that tracked down shona by her ankle bracelet. but personally i dont think it was them. if i remember right the watcher said at the beginning that anybody that might be looking for them has been taken care of. so im guessing that either the cops were paid off or her ankle bracelet was disabled. if he wasnt able to do 1 of those 2 things i dont think that he would have chosen her as a contestant.

1.) I agree with you about them trying harder to break out. The trap door and the floor WERE closed off, but they should have tried to chisel their way thru the bricks in the wall...they had chair legs, a gun and pieces of things around the house to do it...painstakingly...but they gave up too quick. That always bothered me...

2.) Yes, I agree Al B tried to steal the gun...he was antagonistic and one of the few who probably knew how to use it and be intimidating with it. There was only the 9 in the house...just paranoia from them of others. I would be paranoid....

3.) Francis hung Al B...got him drunk and probably muffled his face, maybe even smothered him when he fell asleep to hang him easier...to make it look like a suicide. Afterall, the guy DID kill his wife.

4.) There was no one in the house, just a bunch of strung out scared, prarnoid people who were being slowly starved and heated--blaming eachother and suspecting eachother.

5.) The door they were banging on is the one that Lea goes thru at the end. Its the one with the survivers on the other side. It was most likely them banging trying to get THEIR attention.

2.)I think Al B tried to steal the gun. I have no proof of this, I just believe he did. In the beginning he was already angry that the cop had it and he didn't want him to have it. I think that he figured he could sneak in and grab it as quickly as possible and get out without Jay figuring out who it was.

3.)I think Francis hung him. I saw someone said that Al B talked tough but probably wasn't. I think that he would be too afraid to kill himself, honestly.

4.)I don't think there was someone else in the house. I just think when you're trapped in a place like that, every small noise and movement makes it seem like there is someone else.

5.)My guess to this would be the other people. The reason I say this is because the door that they were banging on, the one they heard the noise coming from, is the same door that Leah walks out in the end when she "won." This room then leads to another room with more people holding money. My guess is that these people were possibly making noise in the other room or were alerting them that they were in there. Since it was the same door and it leads to the other mansion, there is no way it could have been police banging on it.

My question is this...How did the money get there? The bag that Leah picks up. We see that once she enters the door there is a bag of money laying there. She picks it up and walks forward only to realize she is another room with more people. Obviously this money had to be put there by the people who kidnapped her. So did these other "winners" see the guys place the money there or was there a possible place in that little area that lead between the 2 doors where someone could get in and out?
