Question about ending *SPOILERS*

I looked all over the boards and didn't see anyone discuss this, so I figured I would ask. One question that really popped into my head at the end was about the money. The door that opens for Lea is the same door they were trying to bust open in the beginning. It is the same door that they think they hear a noise behind and try to get help. When the door opens, the bag of money is sitting there and after Lea picks it up she walks into the room and sees all the other people holding their bags. Now, my question is this: how did the money get there? Did the other "winners" see the watcher or whoever leave the money there for her or was there some way to get in or out of the space in between the two doors?

David Cook is my future husband!

If you recall, there was another door that was right behind the large table in the dinning room area. My guess is that this is the door to the outside, and the 'Watcher' and victims all entered through this one, and the money was simply left before they woke up as the Watcher, or whoever else placed the money there casually strolled out the aforementioned door.

Well, this whole thing was set up when they were unconscious.

All of the people were probably abducted at the same time, placed in their respective houses, and the money was placed in each hallway. Once the watcher leaves, he doesn't need to go back in. It's the only way out.

People started waking up, and when all 9 in a house were awake, the watcher would play the message about only one surviving.

The only problem I have with that ending is that there's no way to determine how long the process of 8 people getting killed will take. If one group has a psychopath that slits their throats in their sleep the first night, they're going to be sitting in that room by themselves for quite some time while the other 4 catch up.

And then what's the reaction of the 2nd person that survives? They don't talk to each other about it? Try and figure something out? There also seemed to be not much in that room, so if it takes a week or two for one group to kill off 8, and the other 4 are done in 2-3 days, what do they do? how do they eat? sleep? Do they just sit there clutching their money bags the whole time until they starve to death?

They probably just go insane or start the game all over again.

I was assuming there were nine "winners" and once they were all in the next game, the guy's voice would come on and it would start the next game.

Etc...it's a bit Twilight Zone and I like it.

I don't think it would be another 9. Even 5 is kind of pushing it since it's hard to predict how long each survivor would take to win.

Someone on here suggested that they each had $1 million in their bags, and that only 1 person can walk out with the promised $5 million prize. Which I agree with.

It's funny, because as soon as the door opened, and it led to a hallway filled with white light, the first thing that entered my mind was "Welcome to Level 2." Since the door didn't open right on to the outside or at least a regular room. And then she entered the room with the 4 other people with their bags of money. The ending was definitely the best part of the movie.
