shareNo matter what they do or how evil, sadistic, and cruel they are I couldn't help but like them. The cast had such great chemistry and made them such interesting characters that I couldn't hate them. They are some of the most fascinating villains in any horror movie.
shareI have a love-hate relationship with the Fireflies for the same reasons.
On one hand, I feel it goes into this one quote that's always popular with villians "I make being evil look so good" or something of that sort. They're that shade of pure darkness that's fascinating, and something about them is so captivating. They're basically the characters I love to hate--which wraps around into the hate aspect.
They're so despicable and have no redeeming qualities, that once you get to the final act, it's so damn awesome to see them get what they deserve. I can't remember the last time I've seen a movie that had an ending that satisfying on such a big scale.
Props to Rob for making a batch of bottom of the barrel villains like that.
