shareThanks for your considered, academic and erudite reasoning.

The plot is Jill's still enamoured of Don and is trying to get his wife and girlfriend out of the picture so she can have him to herself. She figures if she gets pregnant he'd stay with her because he'd 'never leave a pregnant woman'. She's also trying to kill her current husband so that she can get his fortune.
To put it succinctly.

It has definately gotten crap with this second series. Most of the humour now wouldn't be out of place on Two Pints of Lager. It's the classic sitcom death knell of the second series changing everything that was funny about the first. OK it was always very dark but now it's just depressing, weird and desperately, desperately unfunny. Oh dear.
sharePersonally I like both series pretty equally, the second is definitely different to the first, but I don't think thats nesceserelly a bad thing.
shareI'm afraid I gotta add to the negative vibe - I consider myself a big Julia fan (L O V E D her in Human Remains and Jam) but this second series is just plain bad - throwing all the first series' subtlety out the window was such a bad move! Now it's like some dumb American teen gross-out comedy (but without the teens...)!
