Why does Kath have a patch on her eye?

Kath has patch on her eye during the last few eps of Series I. Anyone have any ideas why, as it isn't explained in the script.

Oooh, haven't seen this show for a while, but MS can affect vision, so maybe it's down to that.

it's cause of her "NS"

i took it to mean that her health in general was gettin worse....because of the stress.
