I hate hoping that there will be a new series, as i will probably be disappointed when someone from the BBC or any of the cast confirm there will be no more. But i think the last series left me wanting more.

There has been speculation about Nighty Night returning for a third series or similar development. In an interview on Alan Carr's Chatty Man, Julia also suggested the idea of working on a third series or developing the characters and themes of Nighty Night into a different development. It has also been suggested that Julia may return to this style of comedy after focusing on her later shows such as Hunderby and Bad Sugar.
