as a film it fails
Although It's very smart and creative I think it fails as a movie. I don't find the characters interesting and I'm not emotionally invested in the story. I could watch this many times and figure out the plot more and more, I just don't want to. Some movies I don't understand the first time I would go back to because it's something there, which is very interesting and I didn't find that in Primer. (If that makes sense).
It's very hard to find the characters motivation; why do they do this extremely dangerous thing which causes them to bleed. Their inventors and engineers why would they earn cheap money from the stock market.
