Movie was such a slow, pointless meanderer that I won't even bother with the TV series. And I heart me some Minka Kelly.
Although it was cool to see Billy Bob Thornton and the kid from Sling Blade back together.
It's sad that you will deprive yourself of such a great series. But then again, if you don't like how 'slow' the movie was, you wont like the show. It's more about the character development.

Similar? Yes, but both are good movies IMO. Especially seeing how I grew up in a small Texas football town.
Stupid post. It's an excellent sports flick, probably ton 5 all-time, certainly top 10.
If you're not a sports fan then you probably won't enjoy the movie. Too call it slow & meandering is absurd. The film in no way meanders, quite the opposite actually.
