Friday Night Lights vs Dazed and Confused?

Dazed & Confused was on Encore the other night. I had never noticed that Midland Lee was the high school attended by Pink, Benny, Dawson and the rest of the stoner crew. Thanks to the powers of the interweb, I can inform you that Midland Lee did in fact beat Odessa Permian 14-13 in the district title game. Looks like the stoners had some game after all.

The fat lady has sung, she's done and is being dry-humped in her dressing room.

Actually, the high school used in the film is a middle school in Austin. It wasn't Lee High School in Midland.

They filmed at the middle school in Austin, but there are many references to Lee High school, and the mascot as the Rebels, etc. The colors are blue/gray. I realize it wasn't filmed at Midland Lee but that's the school they're portraying.

You must've been smoking some of the same ganja that Slater was smoking in Dazed and Confused. Richard Linklater made the movie about his hometown, which is Austin, Texas. It had nothing to do with West Texas at all.

OK, now you can go back to hitting that giant bong.

There are about 6 high schools in Texas named Lee... Although the one in the film was fictitious and wasn't any off those in particular.
