Agreed. He had the whole cocky amazing athlete thing down perfect. And then you feel so sorry for him during the exam scene. That scene always moves me in some way. And the uncle car tears scene.
shareI agree with you except I think the whole movie was already elevated. But he was *great.* Jeez, Boobie, what a tragedy. The scene in the car where he finally realizes his fate--just awful. terrific actor.
shareAlso add the scene when he helps his teammate not fumble in the final moments of the final.
shareAgreed, also amazing to think he was around 30 when he played the part, he was meant to be about 17 or so but looked very young. Sad how the real booby ended up in prison, think he is due for parole in 2017.
