He can't sing, he can't dress. The only thing he can do is assist in wardrobe malfunctions. Gee...that must make him qualified to star in a movie.

A. They give grammy's to anyone half the time its just like an oscar or any other award, just a big popularity contest. They did give Eminem a grammy for *beep* sake...I mean I do like his music but comeon!
B. You don't need talent to make an album nowadays. They can digitally tune anyones voice and harmonise you and make anyone sound good.
C. People are idiots....have you heard the crap that makes top 40? People are sheep...they hear something on the radio..and go out and buy it. 50,000,000 people can and often are WRONG!
The problem wasn't with Timberlake acting, as bad as it was. It was just a very poorly directed movie. I hope this guy isn't going to make more movies. The story, minus bad cops(what a cliche) and corrupt city officials had sooo much promise!

You know, when i saw that he was in this movie (and a bunch of other new ones coming out) i thought the same thing. But i actually liked him in this flick. He really wasn't half bad. Don't be so hard on him just because he was a fruity little pop star. Judge him here on his acting abilities, not his music career.

And as for your assessment Tool212000, I suppose you have a hot list of who is digitized and whose not. Although there is some truth to your words, to blanket all performers is a disservice to the entertainment industry.
The mere fact that you are a registered IMDB member speaks volumes to either your willing participation in the celebrity of those in the industry, or you are being held in some darken dungeon forced to watch/listen to music/movies, etc.
Don't be a hypocrite whether or not it's a popularity contest is niether here or there, only a few are choosen or win.

Let's sort fact from fiction people. Timberlake is a decent actor and has gotten praise for his work in "Alpha Dog," for his dramatic role as Frankie the guy who has to careout Truelove's orders, and all I hear is how people cannot deny that this climatic scence is one of the most talked about and crutial parts of the film when he must betray the young boy, by killing him.
Second Bruce Willis gives him props at the Sunance go to youtube.com and type in Justin Timberlake, it's under Timberlake Talks to Acess Hollywood @ Sundance, Willis is at the end of the segement saying how great JT is in this film. However, Justin is not in talks for Die Hard. He dismissed this rummor on U.K. radio last weekend. I have the audio if anybody's interested.
Thrid, he's also gotten rave reviews for his role as an Iraqu LT. in Southland Tales, as he narrorates the story, you eventually see him iin a blood stainted tee-shirt pouring a beer over his head and singing a Killer song.
Justin is going o be in the movie business a long time.
As for his singing on this new album he plays insturmentals on several of his songs during his live shows, and has some how managed to put something unique on the radio that sounds like nothing else out there.
The single is burnning up the pop and R&B charts.
If you don't shoot for the stars, you'll never reach them.
Just because other people want to work with him doesn't make him a good actor. He really sucked in this movie. Look at Madonna. How many films has she been in that have been directed and starred with very talented people in the film industry and still sucked ass? Have you seen Alpha Dog? It sucked too. By the way I do like his music. He is a talented singer and dancer.
