It's been a while since I've seen it, but how did Marlowe communicate with the Stranger? As in, "Okay, you head into town and kill all the dogs, and then head to the diner and cause a ruckus, and then..."

In the novel DRACULA, there was kind of a telepatical bond between the vampire and Renfield, also between the vampire and his half victims (bitten but not yet died).
"I don't discriminate between entertainment

It was shown during the Kirsten Toomey scene that Marlow could understand and speak English.
