Vampires and their lack of Guns

Now as we know vampires are very strong, fast and have highly regenerative bodies. But they are not fast enough to get up to someone before being shot up. Now considering this why don't the vampires carry guns?
Now lets think for second, vampires lairs are being completely obliterated (so far the group of 3 vampire hunters said they destroyed 2 other lairs) and somehow all 3 lairs do not have any knowledge of whats going on with the other.
Even if we buy this surely these vampires realize they can use their highly regenerative bodies to their advantage and simply easily kill humans with guns while not dieing themselves. Carry a gun just in case.

In the original film its a Alaskan town so there isn't much guns for the humans to use and one would expect it to be a tad difficult for all the vampires to get guns there. That and they had the element of surprise so it was largely unnecessary... but when your in a city its a different story.

In the World of Darkness series vampires are also incredibly strong/fast/regenerative and can kill most people easily even if they are carrying guns, but even vampires in that series carry guns because they know that you have to stick with the times (especially if your immortal) and guns can make some situations easier... if 2 vampires are fighting guns can give one of them an edge over the other.

I mean I know the movie had lack of plot and character development, but what little plot it did have had this stupid concept bothers me... stupid vampires.

What movie is this?

"In the original film its a Alaskan town so there isn't much guns for the humans to use..."

You've obviously never been to rural Alaska (or rural anywhere). Guns are ubiquitous in suck places.

You most likely are confused wit another film or talking out of your @ss. Most likely the latter of the 2.

he is talking about the comics
of the same name

remember the movie is based off a comic book series

the vampires in the 30 days of night are completly immortal they do not require guns because even if they die all you have to do is spill blood on there ashes and they will come back to life

reply

But not in the movie. That's why Marlow killed the toasted vampire.

reply

thats irrelevant her body needed to be ash before she could be reborn

the average adult can run 21 feet in 1.5 seconds and stab a person 7 to 10 times in that same 1.5 seconds. it takes a heavily trained cop 1.5 seconds to draw, aim and fire there gun twice this means that a fight between a person holding a gun and the average adult the adult would have already stabbed the gunman 3.5 times.

but the vampires in this movie are a lot faster than any normal human. they can run fast enough to catch up to a speeding car. based on how fast eban was driving when they Cought up to him and lifted the car i am going to assume they were running at about 60 mph the average person can run 9 mph so these vampires are around 6 times faster than the average person.

if you do the math this would mean that these vampires could run 21 feet and stab a person between 42 and 60 times so realistically they wouldn't need a gun as they could kill a person 22 times before the person got off a single shot

this is movie vampires we are talking about. the comic version don't seem to be as fast as the movie versions as Eban and stella in the comics were abnormally fast vampires in the comics. in fact they were so fast they could slaughter an entire pack of vampires by them selves
