what was that ship about in the first 10 minutes

i think i missed somthing because what was the large ship about that we see in the first 10 minutes. was the vampire from that ship? why was the ship there. whats going on. im lost.

reply

I think the vampires came in on the ship, and the guy that came in ahead of the vampires and sabotaged everything was the last survivor of the crew.

reply

He was their Renfield, a willing servant.

reply

Exactly

reply

they live on the ship obviously
although the ship looked quite old to me, I don't think he was the last survivor as much as someone they randomly found temporarily (after all they can freely move at night)

If i go crazy will you still call me Superman?

reply

I think it was a nod to Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' (he first comes to England on a boat which is deemed 'cursed')

reply

I was thinking that too. The ship which Dracula went to Whitby on, the Demeter, was found devoid of a crew.

reply

Wow that Deneter theory sounds legit.

reply

I liked the nod to Dracula, and it made sense for them to arrive there by boat, i suppose.

You mean the fictional ship from the movie Ghost Ship? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS_Antonia_Graza_(fictional_ship)
