It looks like a cheap photoshop cover of a movie only dvd release trying to be the poster of the first Underworld film. But I still want to see the movie.(sorry for my bad english)
shareI think it looks and feels more like a DVD cover. I still like it though!
Flame On!
-Johnny Storm/Human Torch
Fantastic Four
If you've looked at the release date section for this film, it is listed to have a limited release this upcoming June. That means it's not getting a wide release like most films (like "The Grudge" and "The Messengers", both also released through Ghosthouse Pictures) and may end up being released strictly to DVD after the limited release (note: for those who are unfamiliar with a limited release, it means that a film is released into a limited amount of theaters, numbers less than all available cineplexes). What does that have to do with the poster? Well, if the film is in a limited release, then it may not get a very well designed poster.
I don't think that the studio releasing the film has a lot of faith in the project, despite the big-names involved. I guess that also has a factor into why the poster is the way it is. If anything, I bet this film may end up with a small following group of fans, despite what anyone may think of this film or it's advertisements at its current time (you know the old saying about "never judge a book by its cover". The only way we can get a good idea on what this film is like is to watch it and draw our own opinions on it).
But this one's eatting my popcorn!
Yeah...but it's still no excuse to design something like that. I would get like a D in my graphic art class if I designed something like that....
I wasn't judging the movie either, but from previews-I might not going to watch it.
Yeah, what everybody else said -- it looks like the DVD cover for Underworld: Evolution.
Although, looking at the cast and the images, it actually sounds kinda cool to me. I may go see this, even if it DOES have a crappy poster.
Hey! It's Enrico Pallazzo!
