total rip-off
blade, bloodrayne, buffy, angel. need i say more?
shareall you did there was list movies/tv shows that have vampires in them.
They arent rip offs, they just have a similar theme.
You could say a lot more like how any of the ones you listed are similar, they're all superheroes whereas in Rise all the vampires (including and especially Sadie Blake) are all fairly pathetic.
I'm going to get really anal and say Buffy isn't even a vampire at all, although she is a hunter of the supernatural, the show was very camp and unbelievable and Rise is a downbeat almost realistic noir detective thriller.
Uh.. it's a VAMPIRE movie. What do you expect???
Why not go further back, to what blade, bloodrayne, buffy and angel are rip-offs of? The Vampyre by John Polidori, Bram Stoker's Dracula... there's a poem by Keats that has hints of a vampire theme, but the name of it eludes me at the moment.
And seriously, if you're going to say this movie is a rip-off of anything, at least base it on something besides the fact that it's a vamp flick. How about going with "The Hunger" with Susan Sarandon and David Bowie. The little cutting knives used in both movies by the "vamps" are practically identical.
"Lamia" is the Keats poem I think. I always wondered why people do that? Rise isn't a rip off of anything. It sucks all by itself.
sharedang...thought i heard it before somewhere... vampire... haha funny word.

Vampire was never said in the movie. Thus making them not vampires. Thus making it not a vampire movie. Thus making it not like blade, bloodrayne, or buffy. And plus..Why would a vampire cut a person's throat with a wittle dagger if they have fangs...? So..yeah..Not vampire. Vampiresk..But no vampires here.
you r right its not a vampire film it just sh*t.
shareYes, you DO need to say a lot more...but please don't because you have already proved yourself an idiot.
Why not just say they're all a rip off of Nosferatu or any one of the early vampire movies?
Angel wasn't even a movie - it was a sequel of a TV show that had long surpassed its lifetime as a decent show.
Blade was good. Buffy was good, Bloodrayne was lame, Angel was even lamer.
That's my opinion. If you don't like it, you should (but probably don't) know what you can do.
I am sorry but I agreed with you to a point. Angel was not lame; it was just as good as Buffy.
