Sadie Blake sounds like Blade?

Doesn't this film remind you of Blade trilogy? Has many referances ? She is sort of a female version of Blade; Vampire hunter in a limbo state.

I saw this movie last night for the first time and I too thought about the similarities to Blade. Also, I wonder how the two would work as a team. Would they be able to coexist or would Blade exterminate Sadie?

Nope, not even remotely. It's sort of like the movie D.O.A., or Crank to an extent, where the main character is seeking revenge on the person who poisoned them before they die.

Well, it'll be sure to be a Netflix rental for me just cos':
A. It has Lucy Liu
and
B. It's about Vampires
and
C. It's a sure B-Movie (yes, a plus if you like them)
and
D. See A. above. ;-)

Let's see....Blade is a half-vampire that walks by day, has a deep knowledge of martial arts and an underground network of hunters supplying him with high tech gear. Lucy Liu is a reporter turned vampire with no fighting skills and is alone. The only things the two have in common is revenge and blood drinking.

I agree.

In it's simplest definition it has a character that is a vampire (but not by choice) who wants to kill other vampires (mainly for revenge).
I will be promoting it to my customers (when it comes to DVD) as a "female version of Blade".

But, please NOTE, (to all the fanboys/girls) THAT IS NOT A BAD THING.

That will actually MAKE it work. Customers will love that, and they only want movie descriptions in a quick, one line description that assures them that they haven't picked up a turkey.
Whether the film ends up being a turkey, remains to be seen (by me).

(BTW, to the hardcore fanboys/girls, YES I know Blade isn't actually a vampire. He is a daywalker blah blah blah, BUT as I said - this is it's definition in the simplest terms)

It didn't remind me of Blade in that way but in the fact that there are vampires prowling and the main character tries to kill them all. Sadie doesn't kill NEARLY as much as Blade did, Blade slaughtered about half the phone book if you count all the movies, LOL!
