It's all very simple
All you have to do in this situation is put yourself in the shoes of Michael and his children. Imagine it is your life on the line. Would you be satisfied with the way that the Durham D.A and the Crime Lab and the police handled this investigation. Going into this thing as i do with every murder case i watch I attempt to have an open mind. My opinion in the case changed a couple of times and now that its over I have no idea what to think. Their is no doubt that prosecutorial misconduct occured in this case. The blood spatter annalist comes to mind in the first trial. You may remember the quote about the killer "wiping the weapon off between blows" in an attempt to explain the lack of blood spatter". I also felt they played dirty by releasing the autopsy from the woman that was exhumed to the press before the judge had made a ruling. Their were many others but these stuck out. I also dont think anyone has come up with a scientific explanation for how she had so many lacerations with nor fracturing and very little overall brain damage. To me it is all very simple, this is a text book case of reasonable doubt, as this case is full of doubt. The only chance we ever have of knowing the truth is if an independent 3rd party unfamiliar with the case looks over the evidence and reveals their conclusions because at this point I think everyone in this case has been less than honest and none of the theories presented at trial have stood up to scrutiny of the other side. The only thing i learned from this movie was just how far a government will go to make sure the convict someone just for the sake of closing a case. I think it is safe to say that our justice system is very flawed
