No, I'm not talking about the dialogue. I'm referring to how utterly absurd this move is. I liked the first movie, and while I had to suspend disbelief at times it was still not over-the-top unrealistic. But Transporter 2 is an entirely different story. It was, without a doubt, one of the top unrealistic movies I've ever seen. It was like they decided to make every action scene something that was totally impossible to do in real life. All I did was laugh throughout the entire movie. I'll see T-3 at some point, and I pray it was a little more plausible.
I heartily disagree. I found this movie to be entertaining, realistic and above all, informative. We all learned something from this movie. For example:
>When a bad guy has a gun on you and intends to kill you, he will never just shoot you. He will start talking to you and give you every chance to gain the upper edge. (See, Tuco had it all wrong all along).
>A professional driver maintains control over his vehicle at all times.
>Heroes simply do not sweat and really like to look their best at all times.
>Pizza delivery workers can be reasoned and bargained with. (That was one of the better scenes in the movie, IMO)
>It is possible to track down everyone exposed to a devastating virus within a matter of a few hours (not actually shown, but implied).
The list goes on and on. You have to have a healthy suspension of disbelief to watch any movie, but this one ranks right up there with "Last Action Hero" in testing that theory.
Shoot 'em up is great fun because it was AIMING to be over-the-top and unrealistic. (Just listen to the title. xD) But I really like that movie because the actors are good and the dialogue isn't horrible as in Transporter 2... But yeah, T-2 gave me some laughs. But mostly because of the ridiculous one-liners and the hilariously emotional soundtrack.
Jesus how can people even think to compare it with Shoot em up, didn't anyone even get that? It was obviously intentionally supposed to be over the top. Why do you think its called 'Shoot em up' in the first place?
im still not over the stupidity of how the antagonists never kill frank...theres always this attitude of "lets not kill him with a bullet, but let that other thing kill him, coz its more merciless" etc. Frank could and should of died multiple times, escpecially when the plane crash landed
This movie was terrible and ridiculously unrealistic like you said. But I didn't think it was funny. I have seen many terrible films that are so bad they are good, but this doesn't even manage to accomplish that.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the world's least convincing female assassin and the brain dead retarded cops who are somehow able to get mowed down by her while drawing their weapons.
If cops were as stupid as they were in this film, Miami would be pure anarchy.
