Anne's back is to us for her first few scenes.

Why did the director choose to have Anne not facing the camera until the first phone call before the anonymous caller asking for Geourges?

I thought it was just bad filmmaking at first, but upon finishing and then looking at the rest of the director's work, I really think this was intentional, and since the film's name is Hidden, it seems not just intentional but meaningful that Anne's face is hidden from us for he first few scenes. It's not like we never see it but most movies at least give you a closeup right away to establish the character. We really don't see Geourges' face closeup until the first time we see him on his show, it cuts right to a closeup which I'm sure was intentional and meaningful as well. Then, we get the first closeup of Anne right before that anonymous call.

Thoughts?

I noticed that as well, Anne definitely looks away from the camera in the first few scenes.

Maybe it goes back to the idea that she was having an affair with Pierre (possible in her home.)

So being filmed outside of her house must have jolted her. Notice how she's more agitated and worried than Georges when they find the first tape.
