I live in Paris. After watching this movie I went to the street of Georges' house. I tried to move around to estimate where the so called camera could have been placed.

In the movie, the view from the camera gives the impression that it was sitting atop a vehicle, slightly taller than a regular car. It also seems to be a little too far to the left, with a slight low angle.

In addition, there’s nothing in the opposing street to hide a camera, or at least, without the knowledge of a resident who could have identified the person setting the camera up.

Truly, the camera set up is not meant to be credible and anyone attempting to do the same would be caught.

That’s why I think the tapes and the hidden camera plot is a metaphorical mechanism to bring up Georges’ guilt and/or painful memory, as it is not that obvious that Georges is remorseful.

I thought that his mother illness played a significant role in Georges being upset.

The address of the house is: 49 Rue Brillat-Savarin, Paris, France.

The camera was place across the street, in the Rue des Iris.

Thanks, the one thing that first occured to me is the road (where a camera would be) is extremely narrow and I believe a scene showed cars parking on both sides of the road which is impossible.

Also those plant pots are really taking over the pavement.

I seem to read the two street name signs as indeed Rue des Iris ... but the street where George's house is located, has a sign that I make out to be rue Vulpian.

It's a nearby street, but not adjacent to rue des Iris ...

Now maybe I haven't made out the sign for the street correctly, but I certainly don't see 3 words on the street sign which it would be if it were Rue Brillat Savarin ...

There's a lot of odd stuff going on in the movie, in clues and indications and it's not all clear what is meant to be taken literally or not. Very infuriating at times.
