Both Regressive Left & Alt-Right drive the world towards Idiocracy!

I am not ranking here who is more stupid left or right, nor say that they're both equivalently stupid. But certainly the right doesn't have monopoly on the stupidity.

For example the BLM SJWs tend to ignore the statistics suggesting that they inflate way out of proportion police violence and racism. While negating the level of violence within the black community.

Similarly the gun nuts ignore all the statistics suggesting that gun deaths are much less likely to occur in developed countries with strict gun controls than US. And as Australia showed with steep decline in guns deaths after the buy-back of the deadliest weapons, it's more than a correlation.

So both the left and the right like to ignore the inconvenient statistics and rely on the anecdotal evidence, and on the emotional reasoning: if it feels right it must be right.

As a life-long liberal I thought they are party of reason, but now if you dare to suggest anything that is contrary to the liberal dogma, you're labeled a bigot. Like that certain aspects of minorities' cultural norms could have a detrimental effect on those communities (like certain cultural norms of white poor have detrimental effects on their communities) , and it's not all the fault of the "white privilege" and racism.

At least alt-right are proud to be called anti-intellectual, whereas much of the current left while nominally valuing enlightenment and reason, propose unenlightened and unreasonable policies when they get to power like redefining what "hate speech" and "sexual assault" are and making people liable to prosecution for addressing someone with a wrong pronoun (http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/civil-rights/301661-this-canadian-prof-defied-sjw-on-gender-pronouns-and-has-a) or forgetting to ask for an explicit consent at every step of an intercourse (https://www.thefire.org/cases/california-passes-affirmative-consent-bill/
