I love her. Probably my most favorite actress of all time. Amazing range, undisputed talent. However, out of every film I have seen her in, this is an absolute miscast. She is not believable as a hounding mother. She is not believable as a therapist. Her costuming is even terrible. I liked the film but her performance was a zero. Great acting by Greenberg and Thurman, cute story, great soundtrack.

I think Meryl's only failure here was not looking very much like a Jewish mother. The jewelry was great. They even mentioned it in the credits. I'm thinking I gotta dress like that.
