I totally agree with you! That scene ripped my bloody heart out.
Amazing performance by an already brilliant actor. Few scenes
struck me so deeply as that one.

I certainly agree with that. I didn't love the film that much, but that one moment was a brillaint piece of acting.

Ralph Fiennes could be riveting just reading the phone book. I've been blessed to see him on Broadway from the first row in Hamlet and The Faith Healer, and he ranks as one of the most majestic, yet heartbreaking, actors I've ever seen. We're so fortunate to have him in our midst.
