Hi, if I can set the record straight here, I will clear up all your confusions: "Crash Of the Century" was originally produced as a one-off 2-hour docu-drama on the Tenerife crash. The show was produced by Cineflix in Canada and Galaxie Production in France, and it was shot entirely in France, except for a couple of the interviews. The show was produced to be originally in French, for the channel France5.
Subsequently, an English language version was needed, and this version was recut slightly. New English narration was added. And a couple of the broadcasters that license Mayday/Air Crash Investigations, which is also a Cinelfix/Galaxie show, wanted to see if they could get a 1-hour version. So that was created as well.
Ultimately, there are two version out there: a 1-hour and a 2-hour. The 2-hour has much more interview footage and more repitition.
NB: "Seconds To Disaster" is a completely different series created by a different production company. STD did a segment on the Tenerife crash, with recreations. Cineflix/Galaxie did their own version, ostensibly for the French market, for whom this is a very big event, but also because this is the worst air crash in history in terms of loss of life -- and as an accident.
