One thing that always makes me laugh

What do you expect? They blow their budget with every set they make that represents the crash scene. Plus they have to pay for a new cast + extras every episode.

You also notice that they almost always use LCD displays for analog instruments/gauges on older planes. Not a glass cockpit mind you, but smaller displays instead of getting real instruments/gauges for props and configuring them differently each time for different types of airliners.

There's a lot of cheesy stuff but they do make the story usually interesting. And that's makes it adequate enough for me to enjoy.

I think the funniest thing I noticed was the black box is always an old crappy computer case with orange spray paint. Whenever they show them opening it in the "lab" they always show a shot of it from behind where you can see the air vents and card slot holes. Like a black box would have fan vents and slots for adapters and cards.
