My friends were discussing the racial aspects of "Hitch" (Alex is black, Sara is Latina, one of Alex's white clients targeted an Asian woman). They mentioned an intriguing idea: If Albert were Asian, the film would have been criticized. Although it would be praised as depicting an Asian "getting a non-Asian girl", it would send the message that he only succeeded because he got professional dating help.
