You don't get the pun? The name Hitch is actually very clever. His real name is Alex Hitchens, so he shortened his last name to Hitch, which is also what he does for a living... Hitches people up. That's why once Sara figures out what he does, she asks him if Hitch is a noun (name) or a verb (something he does).
