It's awesome. I bought it for my father for Xmas. I'd only seen the last 2 eps of the first series but having watched the others recently I was pleased that they were equally hilarious.

'I'm Ivan Dobsky, the meatsafe murderer, only I never done it. Two men called D n' A proved what I'm innocent'...

Ivan Dobsky is my fave. I like the episode where he meets the other released murderer with the pogo stick.

I never done it, I only said I done it so they'd stop giving me the jalfrezi enema!

or from last night's:

I never done it, I only said I done it so they'd stop playing swingball with my scrotal sack!

I love Ivan, even though some people say he's getting old now. I love Ivan, and the Paedofinder General, and I loved Clive, but he's not in s3 nor is Geoff the First Time Cottager, who I also adored. Although I suppose there was only so far they could go with them, and they did at least end them well last series.

I got the series 1 DVD for Christmas. What I've noticed most was how much I enjoyed some of the less famous characters that didn't get noticed as much first time round, such as the two old ladies who control the internet and do all the sound effects, and all the Daisy Harris murder enquiry ones. They were very funny, especially some of Dr.Harris' comments; "It's a terrible crime to kill your own child... er, as is this!".

LMAO I the Daisy Harris enquiry. It's so brilliant, the way it becomes more and more blatant every week, and still the police don't catch on.

Speaking of the guy who animates Daisy Harris, I love Shafiq, Abdul and Omar as well - adored the one last week when they went to blow up the council "who oppress the Muslim people, as I was clearly only parked there for five minutes". And the one at the end of last season when one of them went to blow up the shopping centre by doing a suicide bomber thing (which reminds me - I was watching something the other week about spies or something, and they mentioned some guy who was a "known suicide bomber". How can you be a known suicide bomber? It's pretty much a one time thing, surely?) and he couldn't go through with it because West Brom were replaying a match the following week.

Lol, Shafiq, Abdul and Omar are very funny. I like that one where he says "And I shall have revenge on my teacher who said I wasn't good enough for Cambridge and I was forced to go with my second choice, Bristol!" That's not the exact quote but it was along those lines.

One thing I think Monkey Dust does very well is target sujects which other comedy shows won't dare touch, and still manage to get a funny joke out of it. I think it is probably one of the most well observed shows around at the moment.

That "known suicide bomber" thing could be something they might pick up on. It reminds me of some of the news reports shown in the Daisy Harris enquiry. "Gary Nutall, alias Frank SInatra, chillingly slept in the shop front of Dixons which was chillingly just 50 miles from the school".
