Monkey Dust Creator Dies

Some bad news, Monkey Dust writer, creator and producer Harry Thompson has died of lung cancer at the age of only 45; he had never smoked a cigarette in his life. It nows seems almost impossible that Monkey Dust can contnue.

Is this thread meant to be funny?...just checking.

Wind it up and watch it go.

That's a damn shame. Especially as he also made Have I Got News for You, They Think it's All Over and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. My respects as well.

Yes, and because of the attacks on London and the goverments reaction to paedophilia.

that is so wrong. lung cancer without having smoked. Respect to the guy. Some lines from monkey dust will stay in my head forever and if you look at his credits he produced a lot of Britains best comedy.

I was just wondering if anyone knew when series 2 and 3 of this brillant cartoon was going to go on to dvd and so for sale?

I have series 1 on dvd, but can not find series 2 or 3 anywhere on dvd.

As far as I am aware series 4 is in production, although I am not sure if it definitly is.

Any help given would be appreciated-thanks.

Also sorry for posting this message on this old topic, but I did not know where else to do it. thanks

also i am posting this using my brothers account, i have just realised this, hence the edit.

thanks, sana

thanks for the reply. yes thats sad that the bbc bloke did not reply, but then those types never do!

it is brillant yes, and i can not wait for the next series to be aired, (do you know when that will be?) and I can not wait for the other's to come on to dvd.

do you know if there is anywhere i can download then? i wish i had recorded them when they came on to bbc3, but at the time i remember it hardly ever getting repeated. I have not seen it repeated since. not even to fill an empty slot! its annoying as bbc3 repeats so many other comedies, and repeats whole series of programs but they have not done so for monkey dust.

thanks anyways,

sana x
