Best animated series ever?

I know it's definitely not going to be for all types of people, but there's just nothing that really compares to this. If tv shows and humans were ever allowed to get married, I think I'd try take that step with this show.

I wouldnt call it the best animated series ever, the only part i like about it is its ability to make fun of taboos. Ren and Stimpy, South Park, Family Guy and ATHF are much better than this comedy wise and animation quality (except ATHF). This show almost feels depressing most the time...

Id agree with you

Thanks for reminding me of Ren and Stimpy, which is funnier, although Monkey Dust is the most observant animated show.

Family Guy is pretty funny most of the time, and I used to watch South Park and King of the Hill.

I find that the Simpsons has been largely unwatchable for several years because the excruciating attempts at more off-beat humour.

It's one of the greatest animated shows I've ever seen. I don't know about the greatest ever but it's without a doubt the most original animated series ever. I own series one and I'm deeply disappointed that they never released 2 or 3 on DVD; it always begged the question if it was actually banned from BBC3. As I say, maybe if it had more recognition worldwide it could well have been one of the greatest if not the greatest animated series ever because of the some realistic, dark, pure british, hilarity and originality in the humor and sketches. It's by far the darkest and most disturbing animated series I've ever seen, in fact it's one of the darkest and disturbing series I've ever ever seen; full stop. I am a huge fan of Monkey Dust and believe in my heart that it should be rated an 18 and not 15. Fortunately, I'm wrong and I bought this when I was 15.

I love light hearted but slightly sick animated comedies like South Park and Family guy but this is a different beast.

It's intensely dark but also incredibly funny if you like that sort of thing. If you have a very dark sense of humour then this is the best animated series you could watch.

Bromwell high is also brilliant and written by the same guys I believe. Some of the sketches missed the mark for me (not many mind) but some of them are pure inspired genius. The brummy al quaida lads, the posh urbanites and the husband who makes up stories to his wife of where he's been were all inspired along with many others.
