Cartoon Version Of Brass Eye!

I absolutely adore this show, its clever, hilarious and brutally honest.
This show really reminds me off Brass Eye though exaggerating many things by the media such as the Tony Blair, Terrorists and the people hunting down the paedophiles. Its really reminiscent of Brass Eye in my eyes and is an overall amazing show although obviously no more can be made...:(.

I always thought it reminded me of Jam (also by Chris Morris).
If you like Brass Eye and Monkey Dust it's well worth a look.
It's on the more surreal / Dadaist end of the dark comedy spectrum.
It doesn't really touch on current affairs though, i guess if it satirises anything it's the media or the art world.
It has a really great and unique style, with particular attention to the soundtrack - something that i think must come out of its genesis as a radio show.

I only recently discovered this show and love the witty, dark satirical nature, it's perfect for a modern cynical audience, such a shame there will never be more.

I've always wondered what Chris Morris thinks about Monkey Dust. A lot of the "sketches" are very Morris-esque (which is probably why they're so damn funny and disturbingly dark at the same time :P)

I would say that Monkey Dust owes more to the Viz comic for it's style of humour than Jam.

I think the connetcion with JAAAAaaaaammmmmm can be made due to the eclectic soundtrack and the potential to offend quite a lot of people. But the recurring characters and the comic strip feel of the sketches feel more like Viz to me. BTW, it's way funnier than any of the attempts made at actually animating Viz.

Oooh...astonishing sod-ape.
