Boring, Unbelievable Chick-Flick

I know...I know...I am not a chick, nor a midwestern, conservative housewife, and had no business watching this dreck. But I watched it with my GF the other day, and I thought the acting was atrocious, the story was just unbelieveable. This guy shows up as a "present", she lets him in and spends all day (and night) with him? Take him to her parents house, etc. Nonsense. And where are all the black people in this film? Oh, at the end, at the New Years Eve party, as "entertainers", as usual. Oh, I forgot, the lead character DID work in an office with a well-spoken, very light-skinned African-American, who is "safe" for all you conservative white women, as she didn't act ghetto or have a black BF. Can you believe it, in this day and age, to make a movie with almost no black people? (Maybe the director cut the mugging scene...)

I gave this TV Drama a 5 out of 10. Men, be warned. Pull up the football game on your radio and feed it in via a headphone or something.

Agreed. Guess this stuff works only with estrogen units, not testerone units.

Yeah I thought it was *beep* and I am a girl. Most chicks are able to eralise how lame a lot of "chick flicks" are and aren't really into them...I doubt anybody really enjoyed this one because it wasn't that unique. I don't mind a good romance film if it's funny and well done (and neither do many males I know) but this one wasn't really.

I gave it 2 out of 10 on IMDb lol.

I love the movie ... It's one of my favorite Christmas movies ... I even bought it on DVD ...

I just watched it on the LIFE channel (they've been playing Christmas movies all day!) I agree that its probably not the best movie for guys (same goes for most of these Christmas movies), but SOME of the movie was still pretty cute. As for black people in the movie, in the skating scene, the main character teaches a black girl how to skate.

This one struggled to keep my interest. I didn't know if I was suffering from Christmas movie fatigue. But I think you probably gave the reason for my apathy.
