That is so sad. He was so young. That's a nice picture of him. The film is wonderful, I'm sorry he won't be making any more.

His films were an absolute pleasure to watch.

Such a shame and such a long battle he fought. Wonderful man and film maker.

Rest In Peace xxx

I just logged in to find out his next project after watching In my Father's Den again...and instead found out that he is dead....

feel so melancholy.... its like that Nine Queens director again.... you get your acclaim that you're looking for all your life and you're dead before you can take advantage of it... life isn't fair.

It was very sad the Brad died just when his career was really flourishing. When the weakness brought on by his various courses of chemo permitted, he was working on a really interesting film project that, in different circumstances, might have been his second feature film. Sadly, it will never be seen.

I also wish he'd had the chance to make a horror film. He had a real talent for creating and embellishing creepy stories.

In My Father's Den was a wonderful surprise to me, a film I only stumbled upon because I am a fan of Matthew MacFadyen's work. It was a subtle and moving film, directed with real poise and precision, and I add my condolences for Brad McGann's tragic death.

reply

Do you know if he made other films as good as this one ?

reply

He did three short films.

I've only seen Possum, but it's very good.

In My Father's Den is his masterpiece though
