I just got an email from CDUniverse saying that this dvd is available for pre-order and will be released on November 6, 2007. So I checked Amazon, and sure enough, they have it listed, as well.

So that's good news for us Region 1 people!
I saw this movie over two years ago at the SXSW festival and have been tempted to order the region 2 dvd for awhile.
Now maybe I can save some money and order it locally!

edit: it's listed at $14.14 at CDUniverse, 17.99 at amazon, and 15.41 at DeepDiscount.com (with free shipping) right now.

Any word on whether this is the uncut version we saw on the festival circuit or has the "belt scene" cut as in the R2 DVD?

BTW, I saw it listed on Amazon but couldn't find it listed anywhwere on DeepDiscount.

It was on DeepDiscount before, and it's in my wishlist (which is the only way I can access the title now on that site). I noticed last night though, instead of it being listed as a preorder, it's listed as 'discontinued'

So checking CDUniverse today, it now says the release date is "not determined".

Doesn't look like a good sign...

Amazon still has it listed as being released tomorrow. I haven't seen this yet and I almost bought region two a few times, but I keep hoping it will be released here. *keeps fingers crossed*

Amazon has it as released today and available by special order but it's nowhere to be found on DeepDiscont DVD and it's still "release date undetermined: on other sites.

Tartan has done an awful job with this film, both theatrically and for the DVD.

I agree with you Rackon. Tartan has done an awful job! It was available on Walmart.com for pre-order, but the day it was released it said it was out-of-stock and now it is gone completely from the site all together. I was so looking forward to finally being able to get it on DVD. Amazon.com has it listed to buy, but it does not show a picture of the DVD. Also, Matthew doesn't have top billing in the cast list. I found that very odd! I will not buy it until I see a picture of it, to make sure it is the right thing. It doesn't even give you a discription of what the movie is about. I am just unsure about the whole thing and very disapointed!

Well, the listing on my DeepDiscount wishlist as of yesterday says it's "Out of Stock," even though, no, it still doesn't even come up in regular searches.

Looking at its listing on dvdaf.com, it says "Release Delayed". Anyone know what's up with that? Not enough buzz about it so they decided to wait?
Anyone tried to order from Amazon?

I agree though; horrible treatment with this film from Tartan. Maybe there's a way to get in contact with them to find out what's going on.

I pre-ordered from Amazon.com and received an e-mail stating the new estimated shipping date is November 14, but at this point who knows!

I had my copy (region 1) of this movie on preorder with Amazon. It was supposed to be delivered Nov.9th but I just got an e-mail from Amazon saying the date is being pushed back to January. I am just going to have to get the region 2 version because I've waited long enough and I am dying to see this movie. Thank God I got a region 2 dvd player.

If you're getting the R2 disc be sure its the German reease (the film is in English with actor's own voices or dubbed in German) becuase the UK R2 DVD omits a crucial scene. You want the uncut version shown in thaters.
