Wow, the regular DE 2 disc set is already great, and I believe Deutschland got the uncut version as well, so I assume this Blue-Ray disc will be uncut as well.

I've been holding off on looking at either a BRD or HD-DVD player, hoping a good, affordable universal player was in the works someday - they always seem to be delayed. I also haven't investigated whether HD machines/software are region free and convert for US displays - I have HD CRT. I may just have to get this anyway and figure it out later cuz I love this film.

yes, the blu-ray is uncut, has all the extras and is available now in Germany

Great! I knew the SD DVD was uncut. I'm going to buy it! Gotta have this movie.

Samsung has come out with a combo BD/HD player. The US version just became available in the US this week and it will be out in Europe first quarter of 2008. I assume - like most European players - that the Euro version will be region free and also convert PAL>NTSC. The problem is getting service for the player if something goes wrong. :-(

It would be wonderful to have a one box solution for DVD/BD/HD-DVD PAL>NTSC.

Never mind the Samsung, it's junk.

However, the movie IMFD is wonderful in any format.
