the episode (I think it's from season 3?) where they're competing for who gay guys like better and I was really wondering whether the guy that went out on dates with them was for real or a part of their script... does anyone know? Any clues?

Spenny is too stupid sometimes for this to be 100% real.
The gorilla costume episode when Spenny is loudly talking about putting ants in kennys costume only to have Kenny sneak up and put them in spennys costume is an example of when I think it's scripted.
