Am I the only one who thinks that when Vera empties her bag for the police that it was a bad idea to remove the cheese grater first? It took me a minute or two to remember what she used it for.

Yeah, I agree. I think when they presented a cheese grater as evidence against her it looks bad. If you didn't know it was for grating the soap you'd think she was some sort of sick sadistic butcher or something!

If you recall, she takes the cheese grater out of her bag first at the beginning of the movie, too. Shocking moment if you don't know at that point what it's used for (which I didn't).

The pregnant woman's mother had already told the police about the cheese grater so it wasn't a surprise to anyone.
