Why not a BioPic instead

Considering the subject matter, I consider creating a true work of fiction to be in bad taste. If there is no such person similar to Vera Drake to have existed, then this movie is truly pointless and void of all emotions and reasonings. Abortion would be just a cheap tool to extract emotions from the audience, and the theology of this film is on par with Star Wars or The Hangover. However, if there existed someone similar to Vera, why not create a Based On A True Story movie about her? It would be much more powerful and believable.

I was very much dissatisfied with the character of Vera. Any movie where the main character is perfect without flaw is unbelievable to me. Her character could have used a dash of realism. Maybe she yells at her husband or kids from time to time; or maybe she has a pointless feud with one of her neighbors; or maybe she steals things from the grocery store; or anything showing that she's human and not some character in a movie.
